After obtaining my master's degree in corporate law at Tilburg University (2022), I worked for several months as an analyst at a major bank. In that position, I gained valuable insights into the financial world and the dynamics between companies, risks and regulations. This experience also broadened and strengthened my legal perspective, particularly with regard to the economic and strategic interests behind legal issues.
My legal career began at a law firm specialising in civil law, where I initially worked as a legal advisor and, following my admission to the bar in early 2024, as an attorney-at-law. Having meanwhile realised my own small-scale episode of the Dutch television programme Ik vertrek – moving from The Hague to the hills of South Limburg – I went in search of a new challenge there. I found it at a renowned law firm, within the real estate department. There, I focused on commercial contracts, construction law and tenancy law, and gained experience with complex cases involving multiple parties and significant interests.
As of 1 December 2025, I am very enthusiastic to be part of the team at SPEE advocaten & mediation, where I work in the areas of corporate law, employment law, inheritance law, commercial contracts and civil construction law/tenancy and property law. The diversity of these areas of law fits well with my broad interest in both the legal and human aspects of law.
I advise and litigate (if necessary) for both businesses and private individuals. In doing so, I strive to always deliver tailor-made solutions, taking into account both the legal content and the personal context of the case.
In my work as an attorney-at-law, I believe it is important to listen carefully, understand the underlying interests and seek practical solutions. Every legal problem is unique and requires an approach that suits the specific situation. I strongly believe in the power of a practical approach, in which both the law and the individual are central. An amicable solution is sometimes preferable, but it is mainly a matter of correctly assessing the facts and circumstances and the interests involved. My personal style is characterised by care, transparency and commitment. Whether it concerns legal advice, conducting negotiations or legal proceedings, my goal is to work with my client to arrive at a clear and future-proof solution, amicable or otherwise.
In addition to Dutch, I am also proficient in English at a professional level.
