MARION VAN ACKER, LLM

Attorney-at-law

SPEE advocaten & mediation Maastricht

I’m Marion van Acker, and I work in the civil law practice at SPEE advocaten & mediation. I advise and/or litigate in the field of law of obligations, tenancy and real estate law, and the law of persons and family law.
.
Alongside this, I have a special interest in procedural law, contract law, liability law, property law, labour law, and company law.
.
After graduating with merit from Leiden University in civil law and corporate law, in 1999 I was sworn in as a practising lawyer and, having previously worked at other well-known law firms, I am currently very pleased to be affiliated with SPEE advocaten & mediation. I now have many years of experience of advising on and litigating in the area of law of obligations, tenancy and real estate law, and law of persons and family law. You can also come to me for matters such as maintenance and access issues, divorce (whether by joint petition, or involving a court hearing), disputes about the purchase and sale of residential properties, including questions about hidden defect rules, and advice on, or representation in court for tenancy matters, whether you are a tenant or landlord.
.
In 2012, I attended a ‘Sprachtraining Deutsch’ course, enabling me to effectively represent German-speaking clients.
.
Combining a keenly analytical mindset with a practical approach, I always have my eye on the endgame.

I have registered the following areas of law practice in the rechtsgebiedenregister (register of legal practice areas) of the Netherlands Bar:

  • Tenancy law;
  • Law of persons and family law.

.

This registration requires me to obtain 10 training credits per calendar year for each registered area of law, in accordance with the Netherlands Bar standards.
